Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dragon Hogosha dedicates herself to staying in the nest and protecting the other hatchlings and eggs. She can easily fend off smaller species of dragons and predators all by herself without getting a scratch. However, since she's only a hatchling, she can only fend off the larger species of dragons and animals long enough for the others to yell a distress call for the adult dragons in the area to help her fend off the intruder. All of the dragons that she protects while they're hatchlings are eternally grateful to her and are more than happy to bring her food once they can hunt for themselves. When she has no hatchlings or eggs to protect, she likes to spend time with Angel Magico and actually looks up to him as a father. The Hogosha part of her name means "guardian" in Japanese.
