Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sithinian is the harsh, lone wanderer of the Choking Forest. He used to live far away, in the Cavern of Tomes. There, he was cruel and attacked any dragon that he spotted in his territory. The dragons he lashed out at always suffered from some sort of injury as they fled.

Sithinian was betrayed countless times by mates that promised to stay with him for life. Stemming from his unresolved pain and grief, he twisted these feelings into pure hatred for males-which made each of his mates swoon-and females, whose attention and loyalty was so short-lived. After a brawl with rather large Spitfire, Sithinain had officially overstayed his welcome. A band of dragons came after him, running Sithinian into the Choking Forest, where he never returned to harass any dragon again. Now he merely skulks among the decaying leaves and brush, cursing everyone's miserable life, including his own. Shortly after living in the Choking Forest, the last name "Sin Stained" was given, due to the many he killed.
