Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nifin is has a bit of an atypical personality for his breed; he's as serious as can be and doesn't prefer to take part in the other Blunas' merry playing. He mainly enjoys gathering any of the reluctant hatchlings he can find into a group so he might begin a lengthy lecture on why fish are meant to be eaten, not played with. The hatchlings' games, says Nifin, are all stuff and nonsense.

Of course the young dragons try their best to avoid him, but he seems to come out of nowhere. Just as the younglings are beginning a game of ride-the-waves, the Bluna's head will pop out of the water, his eyes will narrow, and he will proceed to begin one of his spiels before the hapless hatchlings can get away.
