Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This is an odd dragon, an outcast from others of her kind. She wanders the lands near a crumbled down building filled with rusting scientific equipment, searching blindly for food during all the long hours of the night. A few kindly dragons have attempted to speak to her, to see what's the trouble, but she doesn't seem to have a grip on language--she mumbles and whimpers incoherently and flees from these strangers, holing herself up in the bleak remnants of the old laboratory, near a cage that might have been able to hold a slightly smaller, younger version of her. Over time others have given up on trying to care for her, and due to her presence--and the eerie one of the old building--the area has earned a reputation as haunted...
