When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon's personality can be described as nothing but cold. While he doesn't go out of his way to inflict harm on sailors, he'll watch calmly as men flounder beside overturned boats, occasionally even slipping in to feed on a few of them if the water is too frigid for them to have any hope of survival. Some claim that the fact that he doesn't hunt those who have a chance to live shows that he at least has some scrap of a soul, but others are certain he just prefers the taste of chilled flesh. He doesn't really care about the opinions of men, however, and will slip back beneath the dark waters just as smoothly as he came.
