Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
"My tail droops," this dragon says. "My tongue hangs." He always seems to have a thousand reasons to be depressed. "My food's cold. My cave has bugs in it." Most dragons avoid this submissive, depressed dragon, though there are some that delight in taunting and torturing him. However, he never gets angry and mostly responds with more melancholy reasons. "My flames are tiny. My scales are scratched." Some say he's mental, others say he's just obsessed with moping around and feeling dejected. It does seem that he has one of these two things in his mind, for nobody has ever seen this dragon show even a hint of a smile or laugh. "My wings are small. My fruit has worms in it." Whatever the reason, nobody likes to get near him, except for his relentless bullies. Everyone snickers at him behind his back, though he seems too absorbed in a glum mood to really care. Maybe someday he'll cheer up, but nobody has ever found a cure to his depression.
"Oh and, I'm a tinselfail. How shameful."
