Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Poor little dreamer. He was so involved in creating mystical dreams and deep slumber in his fellows that he found himself tangled around his own cloud. Now he can't get off, stuck as he is, and finds himself hitting the roof of the cave very often due to how light and fluffy the cloud is. Nevertheless, he still has his powerful magic of sleep, and has used his cloud to his advantage by sneaking up behind a hatchling, and sending it to sleep and soaring up again before any other hatchling can get to him.
