Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Flashy and intelligent, Beryl Blue, a geode dragon, guards the sleeping quarters for any visiting dignitaries. Though just as good as her job as her sister Crystalized Blue, a geode who guards the clans sleeping quarters, Beryl Blue prefers to learn news of far off countries, rather then speaking to clan-members who she already knows. Although she enjoys thinking philosophical thoughts, Beryl Blue likes to learn about politics. Because of this, she has grown rather talented in speaking to grumpy politicians, swaying them to put their strength in the clan, rather then against it. Although just as fond of teasing the hatchlings as her sister, Beryl has learned that she doesnt have as much patience with the younglings, and thus tries her best to discourage the young from visiting her.
