Perhaps not. It seems to be active during the night.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Poor Vertigo. Although she has wings, she never uses them, as the first time she tried to fly, the height made her so dizzy that she plummeted to the ground and broke so many bones of her undead body, that she was lucky to have them grow back together somehow; her back will always be bent, her hind legs will always be crippled and she will never be as tall or strong as the other adult Vampires, but at least she is alive—if you can say that of a Vampire Dragon.
