Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Limerian Christmas is a gold tinsel dragon. He is very gentle, and doesn't like to fight. However, he is strong, and would not hesitate to attack any intruders that he feels are endangering his clan. Being a gold tinsel, he is an object of admiration and wonder to some of his clanmates, and as a result, he is worshiped and treated like a god. However, he is modest, and doesn't approve of his devotees spending much of their time lavishing gifts, offerings and compliments on him. The 4th dragon in his clan that came from another clan far north, he chose his mate, Snowy Silver Whispers, because she was also from that clan and since they had similar personalities and gentle behaviors.
