Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become rather vicious and wary of others of its kind.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Forrenus, although small, is still vicious and aggressive. Sometimes he's even more aggressive than the adult Hellfires. Most other dragons try their best to be nice to him since he's so small, but they've now learned he deserves no special treatment. Like most Hellfires, his flame is extremely hot even though he's not as big as others of his kind.

Forrenus's relationships with other dragons are often heated arguments, earning him a bad name with most. However, ScytheWind's snappy attitude seems to match Forrenus's aggressive one. This, by some strange happening, has made them friends rather than enemies.
