Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kanohn is an adventurous dragon, Digging at anything shiny, even tin foil. He's always dreamed of being a pirate, but living in a mountain does have it's bad points. He's also one the only dragons in the family that knows that the mountain is actually a volcano. He loves to eat bagels, which is kind of an odd behaviour for dragons. He also keeps a small box in his room that few people know about, but no one knows whats in it except him. Kanohn, or Kan, often gets into mischief, and the thing he hears the most is probably something along the lines of, "Kanohn, stop acting like a hatchling and get down here!" Kan has a small crush on Turiena and often gets teased because of it.
