Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Lavishous Heartbreaker is upset all the time. The dragon she wished she was friends with made fun of her. She just wanted to hang out with pretty dragons like him even if she couldn't be one; however, the Silver Shimmer Scale thought she was competing with him and shouted out horrible things whenever he saw her. She tried to avoid him at first, but they had a strange way of crossing paths whenever she least expected it, which always resulted in a barrage of insults from the mean dragon. Because she cried so much, many kind dragons have come to try and help her feel better, but this only incites the rage of the Shimmer Scale, as he thought she was gaining fans. Lately, she has noticed a change in him though, as he has stopped yelling at her. She hopes he will continue to no longer bother her, or she may take up desperate measures to get her life back.
