Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hatched with fins instead of legs and did not seem to react well to freshwater, so you relocated it to the nearest ocean.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Davy isn't the strongest swimmer, but Atlantean Vigor is always there to help the hatchling out. It only started getting used to its fins a few hours after it hatched; it had to be under constant supervision to ensure that it did not drown. Davy isn't very confident and seems to be somewhat afraid of the open ocean, but older Deep Sea Dragons, both wild and tamed, are there to help and look after it.
