White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As the local healer for a rather large village, Tatsu regularly converses with humans who seek him out almost every day. Rather than being paid solely in favors, he merely asks that he be brought something that smells nice. Over the years, he's received many different tokens of appreciation, including old perfume bottles, various leaves, large earthy mushrooms, and even a newly bound book. Many of the nobility still try to pay him in gold and gems, but Tatsu always refuses those gifts, stating that he needs to provide a good example to the children. After all, the reason he only asks for things that smell nice in exchange for his healing is because he doesn't want the less wealthy village children to feel like they don't have anything worthy enough to offer him for his services. Tatsu insists that he will always appreciate a carefully dug up aromatic plant for his garden or a piece of fresh homemade bread more than any treasure in the world.
