Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ikan is a mute Neotropical dragon that can turn into a white and gray cat. He is very kind, and is always willing to lend a hand. He looks up to his step-sister, Snow Juice, because she is often nice to him, along with everyone else. Ikan will often stay in the egg room to protect the eggs that will someday be more of his step-siblings(or possibly children) One of his favorite things to do is cook, and everyone in the large family love his cooking. Ikan likes to meet new people, even if he can't talk to them, so he has a lot of friends. Ikan enjoys being in the jungle nearby the mountain in which he and his family live in. He doesn't really like fighting, unless it's the kitten-like play fighting that he's seen. Another thing is that he doesn't really like flying, so he only flies when he needs to get to somewhere more than five miles away.
