It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A lovely dragon with a heart of gold. She is Lavender Gleamings daughter and has a bit of social standing in the clan due to her fathers rank. She is desired my many of the clans single males. She is perfectly happy though with the few children of her own she has, but her maternal instinct and love of the young is satisfied by her position as the clans nursery worker. Although beautiful and gentle, she is a force to be reckoned with if someone comes snooping about her eggs without permission.
