Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Shield of Pancake is the overprotective morning guard at his owner's cave. He is a very stoic dragon, and there are few things in this world that can bother him, but one conversation topic that scratches his scales the wrong way is about how he got his name. See, when Shield of Pancake was born, he loved pancakes. Like, he literally loved pancakes so much he actually married a stack of them. It was a happy, prosperous marriage until one night, after a long day of guarding, Shield of Pancake returned to his cave to find Mrs. Pancake syrup-less with a home-wrecking stack of waffles. Shield of Pancake went insane with rage and attacked his pancake-wife and her dirty waffle-lover, and ate them both. He was heartbroken at the loss, and never truly recovered. Since that day, everyone in the cave calls him Shield of Pancake, for his love of pancakes and his love of guarding the cave.
