Anagallis Dragons are a medium-sized omnivorous breed. Widespread and adaptable, their easygoing nature enables them to flourish under most conditions. They are social creatures, fun-loving and outgoing, and will readily defend smaller dragons from others’ aggression. They are fond of sunshine, and can often be found basking on rocks; on cloudy or stormy days they are more reluctant to venture out, and will often hide themselves away until the weather is more favorable.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Lady is something of a myth amongst the flock: few have seen her and fewer still can lay claim to having interacted with this Dragoness. They say she is like a mirage, appearing to those caught in the depths of the desert and trapped in the merciless heat of the day, leading them to safety before disappearing back into the sands. Never is she seen in the rest of the flock territory.

Who she is and how she came to be a part of the flock is unknown to all but the Cave Mother, resulting in many stories of her origins, ranging from the mundane, such as how she is simply another orphan raised by Ailill, to the extraordinary, such as how she is a spirit of one claimed by the sands who now seeks to save others from sharing her fate.

The truth, it seems, may never be known.
