Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Shkathet was born with potent magic. She was vain about her powers, and though she was intelligent enough to avoid talking herself into any trouble she couldn't handle, she often irritated other dragons with her haughty nature. Disdainful of those she considered below herself, when she met a male, Luftetar, that lacked magic altogether, she was downright contemptuous.

"Fight a dragon without magic," she'd thought to him. "Run away, runt, before you get hurt."

Luftetar's lip curled and he spoke to her in a human tongue without magic: he was mute as an egg. "Your arrogance betrays your cowardice, as do your words. You do not fight for fear of being wrong."

She leapt to her feet snarling rage, and the battle began.

The boastful dragoness only emerged victorious hours later. Frustrated, she challenged him again... and found herself defeated. The furious dragoness slowly learned to curb her pride and grudgingly gave him the respect he deserved; years later, she even took him as her mate.
