Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sophistocrat knows only the high life of living in beauty, elegance, and wealth, amongst his aristocratic companions. Although he may be a bit arrogant and ignorant of the world around him, Sophistocrat is not rude or snobbish by any means. He may recoil at first from filth, but he will swallow his pride and bravely (or foolishly) charge headfirst through some "rather disgusting situations" (including, but not limited to, utilizing items that haven't yet undergone the daily cleaning routine of the maids and servant dragons).

Sophistocrat loves when Kilto comes to visit, and often asks her about the outside world. He will beg her to tell him stories of her traveling lifestyle.

Recently, Sophistocrat stumbled across the newest right-hand maid: a Black Marrow with no official name. Initially he was terrified of her dead, piercing gaze and horrific mannerisms, yet now he is simply fascinated by her and wishes to break the mold to mate with her instead of another aristocrat.
