Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Strutz Mond was a happy hatching, he spent many nights of his childhood trying to fly up to the stars. His friend Anmutig Mond was always there to encourage him. The two boys were inseparable. As they got older they felt more than friendship for one another. The rest of their clan disapproved. They warned them and supplied the two with other options, but they refused, and were cast out. They wandered for months, but finally discovered Elenwen's Cave. They were misfits among misfits, and welcomed with open arms.

It took time but Stutzer worked up courage again, he made friends among the other dragons and became his happy self again. He spends much of the day sleeping as would be expected from a Royal Blue. At night he and Anmutig spend their time wandering around the mountain. Every now and then he'll go to the top and take off, go as fast and high as he can. When he comes back down Anmutig is always there to tell him he's getting closer to the stars. One day, he'll make it.
