Royal Crimson Dragons are so named due to their massive size and confident, regal bearing. Most of the time they are laid back, ignoring non-prey creatures smaller than themselves, although they will occasionally take fresh kills from other dragons as a reminder of their place in the social order. Although there are few other dragons large enough to pose a threat to Royal Crimsons, they have little tolerance for potential rivals and will fiercely defend their territory from such intruders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Thorin Oakenshield, the undisputed King Under the Mountain, is an imposing, exceptionally majestic Royal Crimson from the line of Durin. Not nearly as large as typical Crimsons, he is instead stockier and shorter and incredibly tough. He resides in a solitary mountain on a pile of gold, with about a dozen other Crimsons of similar size, where they sing epic songs in deep bass tones to pass the time, and toss crockery about. They are quite a companionable and down-to-earth lot, even including the two mischievous hatchlings, Fili and Kili, who make a habit out of destroying everything they can get their claws on.

Among other idiosyncrasies, Thorin harbors an intense and inexplicable hatred for all Soulpeaces and Whites. Despite his gruff exterior and intense majesty, however, he can at times be quite affectionate. In quieter moments, he likes to cuddle his pet pygmy, Bilbo, and he is also quite fond of his pony, Minty.
