Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Frozen Shine is rarely seen. Her name relates to how she is frozen when the sun shines on her scales. She was frozen in an accidental spell and has become isolated from the few dragons she would approach ever since. Shine is sometimes found frozen in hiding spots during the day. She avoids every dragon, even her parents. She will attack any dragon that tries to approach her. Though she looks young, she is wiser and more powerful than she looks. She is skilled at aerial combat and tricks.
