Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Symi-dyrh'ahne was the result of a happy accident between his father, a White dragon, and his mother, a Daydream dragon. But his glory days are long over—despite his beautiful appearance and seemingly calm persona, inside he is a mess of turmoil and grief.
Lume'ahne, his father, was once a great healer, peaceful as all White dragons were. But after his second hatchling was abandoned, and he caught news that it had been turned into a Vampire dragon, he had gone insane, swearing revenge upon the dragon that had bitten it. When other dragons had tried to restrain him, he lashed out, using the store of offensive magic that nobody had seen from a White dragon before. For their own defense, the other dragons sought their owner and asked for him to be released into the wilderness, because they could not bear killing a once-close friend.
Symi-dyrh'ahne gives out his feathers to those who need a small touch of comfort and peace, and dedicates each one of them to the memory of his father.
