Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Crimsonstone is an enigma. She sits on top of a mound in the desert of the Crimson Island and doesn't move. She takes in everything she sees and never forgets it. She'll start a conversation if a dragon comes by to ask (especially Velvetwing), but it will turn to some strange subject that the other dragon can hardly comprehend.

The reason Crimsonstone is an enigma is that those are the things she's trying to comprehend: the biggest questions of existence: why are we here, how did we get here, what does the future hold, what is life... She doesn't know, but she's pretty sure the answer is out there. She's already answered questions that seemed impossible, like the question about why there was no food to be found anywhere in the jungle. It was all Jadeclaw, the little trickster. Crimsonstone doesn't understand why there are only three other dragons that realized how the young Misfit Pygmy was to blame.

She doesn't know why we're all here, but maybe she'll find out someday.
