Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Despite being as black as outer space, it has a few bright patterns on it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Saturn is one of the frozen hatchlings that live in the Nebula Rescue Center at the Hilltop's Dragon Mews.  While most of the Nebula dragons at the Rescue Center grow up to adulthood, some, like Little Saturn are candidates to stay forever as hatchlings.  Some because of questionable bloodlines, others because of inbreeding, others because of injury as eggs or as hatchlings.  Little Saturn is glad to be frozen though, and is happy to play with the other Nebula hatchlings at the rescue center for as long as possible.
