Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ood Orcane possesses the gift of prophecy, and his warnings have saved his clan many times in the past. His gift is so invaluable that he was once enslaved so he might make the life of a wealthy human king easier.

But not only is he only able to foresee crises -- nightmares are a nightly occurrence but he is oddly calm in times of need as nothing can overshadow the terror of his dreams -- but he rarely understands his visions. They are always full of broken nonsense. He still has no idea what "The circle must be broken" means, despite having that particular nightmare often. He does have an interpreter, though Ood constantly worries the meaning will be lost somewhere in translation and dragons will suffer.

The one vision needing no interpretation is the one that scares him the most. It undoubtably foretells the death of a wandering hero and close friend of his. "He will knock four times" and the nameless wanderer will die. It is the one warning Ood does not have the heart to issue.
