Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Omjiq was such a treasure when she arrived at Vair's cave that immediately Zibyu asked for her to promise to be his and devote her life to him. As just a hatchling, she did so and never thought twice about it. When time passed by and she matured into the lovely dragon she has become, she started falling deeply in love with Glivex Thrakon. Remembering her promise to Zibyu, she kept her love at a distance and dreaded the day she was to fulfil her promise. Finally, she couldn't take being unhappy any more, to such a point she wanted to flee from Vair's cave. Glivex confessed he couldn't live without her so the two went off during the night and eloped. Upon their return the next day, it was obvious the two had become an item. Zibyu was heart broken and demanded to be repayed for his pain and suffering and wanted revenge for breaking her word. He wanted Omjiq's first born daughter... Omjiq agreed. She's had to pay such a heavy price for love, but she knows it's the only way she can live.
