Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Okuw is not the friendliest dragon. He'll rarely snap at someone or insult someone, but speaking just for the heck of speaking is one thing he'll never do. Okuw much prefers busying himself in his work. Often he'll go for days hidden away, his whereabouts unknown as he finishes whatever assignment was given to him that day. The times when he is not working, he is with his mate: Collypso. The two spend their time staying sharp in their battle skills. Despite his reserved and "all business" nature, Okuw does show a hint of fatherly emotion in the way he checks in on his children that still reside within his makeshift family.
