Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Harena is named after the Latin word for sand. Harena is a very caring mother and only loyal to her mate, A Thousand claws, or Claws for short. The two Ochredrakes are both very loving of their children and care for them very well. Their first egg together sadly died, which dampened Harena's spirit a bit, but she is determined to have a family with her loving Thousand Claws. Harena is the first Ochredrake to be rescued from the abandoned cave and raised by Kurmori her master. So being the first, Harena is a little older then her mate, but looking at her you couldn't tell. Harena is the more playful one, while Claws is a little more serious.
