Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Koenig der Stille (in English: King of the silence) was bitten when he was only an egg. Abandoned by his previous clan, horrified by his mutation in vampire, he was rescued by a new pack. He was raised with love from the entire new clan, probably even curious about the new egg. King (as most called him) always tries to fight his vampire attitude, like drinking dragon blood. He adopts simple trick: for example, he goes hunting as the others carnivores of the pack.

He managed to balance his instinct and reason quite well.

Obviously, when he feels his primordial needs overwhelming his heart, he leaves the pack for several days. Even if it doesn't happen too often, the pack doesn't worry about his "lone trips".

Recently, King felt himself lonlier and lonlier so he has bitten an egg, only to have a mate. He saw the egg changing into a vampire one and, hoping it will be a female, began to raise it.
