Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Whelve is a regular acrobat, possibly one of the most flexible dragons in the Northern Clans. He's able to quite literally contort his body into a knot and often leaves it tied for several hours, forgetting that he even did it.
Of course, when he finally realizes and un-knots, he's often sore and tender for several hours. The key to Whelve's flexibility lies in with a foolish mistake when he was still in his egg by none other than bumbling Esoterico, who'd been using Whelve's egg to practice teleporting. Never mind his magic is mediocre and prone to backfiring.
Of course, no one really knew anything was wrong with Whelve at first. Until that is he started slithering across the floor like a worm. Whelve doesn't have a bone in his body; all his bones were replaced with particularly elastic cartridge (or were completely banished from his body, as with his tail.)
Whelve gets along just fine as he is, although he can't haul anything particularly heavy over any distance in his condition.
