Diamondwing Dragons are named for the myriad tiny scales that grow on their wing membranes, lending them a faceted, lustrous appearance. These meticulous creatures will spend months ranging far and wide to collect the shiniest trinkets and gemstones to adorn their nests. Once his nest is complete, a male Diamondwing will perform an elaborate aerial dance hoping to impress potential mates with his beauty and prowess.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Marquisee is a vivacious, easily offended, friendly egotist of a dragon. However, she is not very intelligent. She doesn't usually lend her trust to many unless they tend to compliment her frequently or are useful to her in some way.

She enjoys spending her time collecting lustrous, most beautiful and colorful of objects like a big, magenta magpie. Other times she will be frolicking about the cave, asking her friends if they adore her pretty scales.
