Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The brown hatchling poked his small head from the snow which buried him. He chirped fearfully as a large Winter Seasonal Dragon picked him up. The defenseless brown lizard bit at the feet of the dragon, and the dragon was annoyed. Closed eyes, the momentum was gaining, faster and faster, the cruel law of gravity was going to kill this dragon. The brown hatchling found himself in a pile of freezing cold leaves. He burrowed deeply into the leaf pile finding warmth and slept. He woke up from a loud sound and buried himself deep into the earth, and there he hibernated. He had awakened fully grown and in spring. The dragon was extremely skinny after many months of hibernating until March. Feeling bad for the dragons he eats, he digs himself into the ground and raises his tail, so only his tail is exposed. Then a herbivore comes to eat the leaves and gets a tail and claw to the face. Freezing Cold Leaf tries only to take a small chunk of their tail, but he'll never know that still hurts.
