Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hykru has always been somewhat skilled in the magical arts. It comes naturally to him as it should any other Magi, unless they are young or have difficulties controlling their amount of power. Hykru's name comes from the name, Hikaru, a name coming from the Japanese word for "light". And "light" magic as so to speak is what Hykru is best at, forming glowing balls of orange energy that function as lights for the group of dragons recorded on the scroll to hunt by and sometimes to take the hatchlings exploring caves in. Hykru's preferred choice when it comes to mates is one silver dragoness, a descendant of another younger Magi dragon and a silver dragoness. Several of his children have left the area to go see other groups of dragons but some have stayed as well. His favorite activities would have to be taking the hatchlings on explorations in any caves they may find and working with magic.
