Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Cheeese Trotsky Cheeese lived a pretty quiet life in Lagie's caves, making friends with the other cheese dragons, the papers, and the mints. Especially the mints. He loved their green-ness! So, naturally, Cheeese Trotsky Cheeese was thrilled to wake up one random morning to find he was covered in minty green spots. He spent hours staring at himself in the calm still waters of a nearby pond, and many other hours pouncing at all the mints and saying, "Look! I look like you now!" Of course this wasn't strictly true as most mints are not spotted but Cheeese Trotsky Cheeese didn't mind. He loved his green and he wished he could keep it always. Sadly, this wasn't what happened and the following day he awoke his normal self, cheese-coloured, and non-minty. Now Cheeese Trotsky Cheeese can be seen daydreaming about the day he was a mint and wishing it would happen again someday.
