Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hasijna is very happy to live the stereotype of a Pink: she is delicate, demure, and very sweet to other dragons. People who don't like her company point out that she has few real opinions of her own and just goes along with anyone who sounds nice. She isn't completely vapid, though—her dreams are, at least, her own. She dreams of a big strong mate to keep her safe and a happy life with him. Still, it's easier for her to agree than to think.

This sort of personality makes her, in the opinion of the young Daydream Conjectrix, the perfect damsel to be loved by the fairytale knight he's working to make Jet Black Dorkface into. The little Daydream explained to Hasijna that she and Jet were destined to be together, and Jet just needed convincing. The strong Black struck Hasijna as her ideal mate, so she happily agreed to go along. She constantly follows him around, putting presents in his den and stopping any dragoness who tries to get near her future mate.
