Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fires Beneath was and will always be a tyrant. She has been nicknamed "The Worst of The Worst" and "Hell's Breath". She has gone through seven mates, violently killing each one the moment that they displease her. She was feared all throughout the Hellfire legends, even to the extent that they sacrificed a young hatchling to her every year. She would rampage for weeks at a time, destroying entire dragon clans. Eventually, her fame got to her head and she tried to overtake the Kingdom of Magic, a clan consisting of highly trained Magis, Whites, Blacks, and a select few that had a lot of magic potential. She slayed almost a quarter of the Kingdom before the "King", a White named Heaven's Descent, and the "queen", a Magi named Angel Savior, cast a powerful spell that banished her away in a cave inside an active volcano. Forced to stay there alone forever, the king and queen took pity on her and allowed her mate to stay with her. However, he didn't go without quite the fight...
