Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Winded Breath, despite her small stature is a great hunter.  She brings in more rabbits and large birds then some of her adult companions.  Frozen by choice she is extremely happy except on one point.  She fell in love with Unadulterated Anger as soon as she came out of her shell.  Upon learning that he would never grow she pleaded such an eloquent case to the scroll holder and convinced her that she would never want children of her own that she was frozen.  One day, when he is ready to see her love, they will be lifelong companions.  Until then, she waits with a heavy heart and a sad tear of wanting.....
