Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

The egg of Kamiko Nuria, made of tiny pieces of paper folder together, was found by the human Ember Nuria. Ember thought it was some paper, and was about to throw it away when Pazia saw it. He ran up to her, grabbing her arm with his claw. "Don't throw it away!" he said. Pazia was famous for his tricks, so Ember ignored him at first. But eventually, with a little help from his magic, Pazia convinced Ember to put the egg in a warm basket. Ember thought he was crazy, but when she returned a few days later to find a tiny paper hatchling, she knew he was right. She named the little one Kamiko, meaning "paper girl". Kamiko was a gentle, light and delicate dragon. Despite Pazia helping to raise it, Kamiko never played tricks, and hated to see dragons sad. Kamiko loved to be around other dragons, but it couldn't go to the Lake of Elgar for fear of getting wet. Kamiko lives in the highest mountain of Elgar in the forest called Saltus Tres, a forest found by Nutaaq, Bourkan, and Rai Nuria.
