Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The first to reach adulthood, Chaltier is the unofficial leader of the dragons in her cave. The others often look to her for guidance, and she helps care for the new eggs and hatchlings that are taken in. Occasionally one of the younger dragons will challenge her position as matriarch, but she is as strong as she is benevolent, and all the dragons accept her authority in the end.
