Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Christmas Waffle loves eavesdropping on conversations that her owner has with other people. Usually, she gets a laugh out of it, but once, she became very offended, when a mysterious woman told her owner that her dragons needed something called 'psychotherapy'. She had to ask around to figure out what the word meant, but once she knew, she was angry. She was so angry, she didn't even want to eat the sweet-tasting syrup that her owner occasionally gave her as a special treat. Instead, she took the syrup and followed her owner to her almost daily meeting with this mysterious woman, and after the meeting, she followed the woman to her own cave. Sneaking around as quietly as she could, she noticed that the person appeared to care for a group of Royal Blue dragons and a group of Magi dragons before she slept. Waffle slyly managed to coat a few of the sleeping dragons with syrup before doing the same to the woman's door. Satisfied with her sticky revenge, she flew back to her owner's cave.
