Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A rather eccentric personality, Midna enjoys teasing his clanmates with threats that he'll bite their children's eggs and strange promises to the hatchlings that flying bananas do, in fact, exist. He hates the moonlight because it makes him, in his own words, "sparkle more than Edward Cullen." He is normally a very sweet, if not bizarre dragon and he loves making others of his own clan, the Aurorealis Clan, happy. When it is time to feed he ventures off the island in search of an unlucky victim, be it a dragon or another animal. He's taken a liking to the chicken, and on lazier evenings he can be seen mocking the chicken's clucks and going so far as to howl like a rooster at dawn before he goes to bed, lovingly dubbed "Wake-Up Call" by his clanmates.
