Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lindraks made deadly assassins, combining intelligence, stealth, muscled power and extreme speed. Their trust and respect was difficult to gain (providing you survived your first encounter), but once won they would take their fierce loyalty to the grave. They communicated in bird-like twitters, and often travelled in packs. However, the outnumbered lindrak population was mysteriously wiped out without a trace, centuries ago.

Lindrak's egg was recently found in the area of their last sighting, and was thus named after the seemingly extinct species. He spends his days training to live up to the reputation of his namesake, despite being a dragon. He pays little attention to his cavemates; indeed, he prefers to sleep outside the cave where he feels he can better strengthen himself. He hopes he will one day be able to sight a living lindrak, and find out for himself exactly what he was named after.
