Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Life in the Weyr of the Moon is so peaceful as to be unchanging; so organized as to have no surprises; so tranquil as to barely be breathing. Moonwall knew no other way to be when he was young. He'd been born in the Moon's light and lived by Her will, as communicated through Smoothstone, Her Speaker.

Moonwall did everything he was bidden, but when he came back to his small cave one day and found his mate missing, he didn't know what to do. He tried to report her absence to the Moon's Guard, but they told him his mate was not his, but someone else's. That he was crazy—that they had never been paired.

Moonwall was sent home with no recourse, told that if he truly lacked a mate, then his prayers would soon be answered with a vision of his future mate from the Moon, through Smoothstone. He was told to get back to work. Told to stop causing so much of a scene.

Enough to drive a dragon mad, alone, unheard. Sometimes he hears her voice, a dark whisper of a memory he's not supposed to have.
