Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A rather small albino dragon with jet black horns and glaring red eyes, Weylina was taken from the abandoned pile with less than a day to live. She managed to hatch, but she was often sickly or weak when growing up. She was frozen in order to relieve her of constant sickness. Weylina is now much stronger and playful than when she was first brought into the cave. Showing no signs of the weakness that first plagued her life, she loves to play with the other hatchlings. She shows a maturity beyond her years and a large amount of wit. Her fellow frozen hatch-mate, Electriana, is her closest companion. Weylina is averse to sunlight, since it is damaging to her sensitive skin; therefore, she prefers to remain within the shadows of the cave. However, she does stray outside during the night or at dusk or dawn. Weylina is a curious hatchling; all too often, her inquisitiveness leads her unintentionally into trouble. However, the albino is more than willing to accept a challenge.
