Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Darcell always knew she was different. She always had a different color pelt then all the other  Black dragons. Although, she doesn't seem to suffer from it, she actually prospers because of this difference, something about it makes her special, not just her color, but her personality. She is an extremely better fighter then most other black dragons, and a lot stronger as well. None ever mess with her, and when they do they soon regret it. Her parents are very proud of her, she was born with two siblings, one died before it even got the chance to hatch. Its owner neglected it greatly, and the other reached adulthood, but was shy and seemed to blend into the back round compared to her sister.
