Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts spring weather.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
Although this dragon is supposed to symbolize the joy and rebirth of spring, he's really quite the cynical little creature. He interprets the way the seasons change so rapidly as a sign that nothing is solid, that nothing lasts. The happiness humans feel at winter's passing just show how trivial and controllable their emotions are. The only way one can cheer this poor little chap out of his glum mood set is by showing him the blossoming cherry trees. That is sure to bring a smile to his face, and will keep him from grumbling for nearly an entire day.
