Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Drowntide loves flying over the open ocean as the sun is sinking into the waves. The golden colors bleed into the waters, only more shimmering, and the clouds turn the most beautiful pinks and oranges. She glides towards the west to savor the sight as long as possible. When the sunlight is but a fading band of pale yellow across the horizon, she dives into the sea to swim home, watching the stars appear in the indigo sky. Sometimes, there are bioluminescent microorganisms in the water that swirl and glow as Drowntide splashes through them; these are her favorite evenings. When she reaches shore late at night, she sleeps until noon the next day. It is very disappointing if the weather isn't right to go soaring in the evening, but she appreciates the beauty in the storm as well, though it is very different from a sunset's serenity.
